Mr. Spike

Yesterday when I was walking the dogs...I came across this mean looking creature....

Check out those spikes!!!!

Fortunately I was able to lure Joey away before he had his nose or ear surgically removed. Its a Common Snapping Turtle. Either way, it wasn't huge or anything, but mighty impressive. This was one of those "I don't think I'm gonna touch it." creatures....rare occasion. But somehow I was still strangely content with just taking pictures.
