A Farewell, and a Hello

I can't help but write as I sit here, watching the clock slowly move towards the hour. It seems as though this day has been made just for Benji. A powerful wind, signifying the Winds of Change. Zachary charging valiantly around the pasture with clarion calls, tail streaming in the wind, head held high and tucked close to his chest, a powerhouse. A shrill challenge into the air, and then, quiet again.
The birds sang such a beautiful farewell this morning. I have not heard them sing so well in years. The sun shining beautifully when the clouds break. The whistling of the wind in the trees. It seems all nature has turned out their best just for him today. God created this day...just for him. The one who licked all our tears away, who stuck with us through 14 years of tribulation, trials, heartaches, deaths, he was there always. Always.
Now, its his turn. His turn to rest, enjoy the Father's arms wrapped around him. Enjoy someone else wiping his tears away.
